2001-04-09 - 4:39 p.m. The Intervarsity Christian Fellowship has been sponsoring a lot of stuff on campus, what with Easter coming up this weekend and all. Every day since Saturday there's been some kind of activity or something. Today there was a big piece of paper in the library lobby on which was written something to the effect of "How do you think money has perverted religion?" Very few people have written anything so far (I was the first, scribbling "Send me $10,000 and I'll tell you..."). The most prominent comment reads, "Good question -- for the 15th century. A better question would be, 'How do you think religion has perverted the spending of money?'" Paper is finished. I got another one to write for tomorrow. I am tired. It's not all drama these days, of course. I went to a very nice birthday party this weekend. Most everyone showed up early and helped prepare the very delicious vegan dinner that the host had planned. Despite my lack of cooking skillz, I really do like to partake in the experience of communal food preparation, something I don't get to do that often, especially here. It was a nice small group of friendly folk, none of whom I'd ever met before except for the birthday boy, and it was cool to meet some new people. Really good vibe. I'd like to do things like that more often. Anyway, just to make it clear that some neat things have happened this week in addition to the head-explodey-ness. If I had a chance, I'd ask the world to dance and not be dancing with myself.
I believe in yesterday --- I love ya, tomorrow
